Antique German Lutheran confirmation certificate dated 1899, presented in a heavily ornate Victorian-style gesso frame. This lithograph features beautiful religious iconography including the Last Supper, a Gothic cathedral interior, and cherubs surrounding a chalice. The document is hand-inscribed for Lillie Ida Ricke Scholtt, born in 1885 and confirmed at St. Paul's Church in Oak Harbor, Ohio. Published by Ernst Kaufmann in New York and Lahr, Baden, this piece serves as a significant historical artifact of German-American heritage. The frame exhibits characteristic age-related wear with some cracking and loss to the gesso, adding to its authentic antique character.
